CAMH Education and International Mental Health Simulation Collaboration: Part 5

For our fifth and final part of our International Mental Health Simulation Collaboration series, Stephanie Sliekers wraps things up. Remember to follow us for future posts about Simulation at CAMH.

That’s a Wrap!

Bringing the Simulation Workshop at the Medical-Psychiatry Interface (SWAMPI) courses to Canada from the Maudsley Simulation Centre in the UK was a thrilling and inspiring experience for CAMH Education’s Simulation Team. As described in these series of posts, we learned a lot about both simulation and medical psychiatry.

We learned:

Learner evaluations of the pilot course demonstrated an eagerness and appetite for delivering subsequent programs tailored specifically for the Canadian context. Our team will be working with the faculty and content experts in the coming months and expect additional offerings to be available in the Spring of 2017.

If you are interested in participating in future iterations of the SWAMPI course, please e-mail us at simulation.centre@camh.ca.

On behalf of the entire simulation team (Dr. Latika Nirula, Stephanie Sliekers, Dr. Farah Jindani and Alyssa Kelly) – thank you for your interest in our simulation work. We look forward to sharing news from the world of mental health simulation again soon!
